About Us

The Painesville Community Improvement Corporation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was formed in 1977. The purpose of the PCIC is to be active in the physical, social and economic revitalization of Painesville and those communities surrounding it.

The goal of PCIC is to fulfill the needs of the Citizens of Painesville and surrounding communities by restoring liveliness within the area, provide a sense of community among the people and to encourage area wide events for the benefit of the residents and business community. The PCIC is a very unique non-profit organization in the respect that it not only raises money to be given back to the community through grants and donations to charities and special projects we also pride ourselves by encouraging civic duty and volunteerism from all of our citizens, business owners and students.

Throughout the year the members of PCIC assist with funding and volunteering at many area wide events. From the Easter Egg Hunt, Christmas with Santa, the Downtown Holiday Walk and Concert series in several communities along with their largest volunteer driven event The Party In The Park every July.  Join us through volunteering or sponsorship.

Our grants are awarded twice a year.  We have awarded more than $300,000.00 in the past 38 years.  A grant application may be downloaded from this site.

We always welcome new ideas and members willing to participate in this great organization. We meet on the second Monday of every month at 6:30pm at the Painesville Elks Lodge, 723 Liberty St., Painesville OH 44077.  Please join us!
